Inorganic Secondary Nutrients

Some of the inorganic secondary nutrient manufactured by us include:
  • Cent percent soluble sulphur (Puresulf)

Soluble Sulphur

Soluble Sulphur

Item Code: Puresulf

Havoc use of major fertilizers and their chemical properties have not only lead to the disruption of balance between uptake of nutrients but on the other hand has curbed the uptake of certain nutrients which come under the category of “Essential elements”. One of them and perhaps now the most highlighted one “SOLUBLE SULPHUR”.

SULPHUR STATUS OF INDIAN SOILS :
Indian soils are generally rated low with respect to sulphur content. In the northeast, soils may become seriously depleted due to continuous removal of sulphur. The status of these soils can be improved by regular sulphur application in the form of foliar spray for better uptake or soil application. Recently sulphur application along with organic manure and NPK has been emphasized to sustain high yields in case of both cash crop as well as plantation crops.

WHY SULPHUR FOR CROPS?
One of the important ingredients of amino acids directly associated with crop nutrition, limiting production under deficiency. Sulphur is required for the synthesis of proteins and vitamins. Photosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism is adversely affected when this element is deficient in plants. Organic matter and sulphur are the sources of nutrients in the soil. Tea and plantation soils show sulphur deficiency mainly due to two reasons: firstly, sulphur is lost through leaching due to heavy rainfall and secondly soil applied sulphur is mostly immobilized in the soil due to formation of complex unavailable forms.
Sulfhur fertilizers and chemical fertilizers also plays an important role in activation of enzymes and is a synergiser of calcium. Due to intensive planting and gradual increase in cropping intensity without any addition of S-containing fertilizers, the sulphur deficiency has suddenly cropped up and has become noticeable in almost all the tea growing areas. Leaves of sulphur deficient plants are yellow and smaller in size. The internodes are short and the entire plant appears shrunken.
